The Inipi Drum

The Inipi drum is your personal companion!

She works with you as you work with her, she has consciousness and brings your "medicine" into the world. You go on shamanic journeys with her, she supports your healing as well as you in the healing work with others, she speaks to you and reflects you. For me, she is indispensable in planetary activations of places and in the work with myself and people.

Unlike the traditional (shamanic) frame drum, the Inipi drum consists of two playable skins. We say that one is female and the other male. In the middle is the void, the nothing, from which the everything emerges.

It sounds more powerful and melodic than the frame drum because both skins vibrate and make the sound rounder.

It can be painted and decorated, large or small, and the handy handle makes drumming much easier.

Ancestors and the drum

Ancestral work means incorporating the power of your mothers and their mothers and fathers into your healing work. In most cultures and traditions, this is an important part of life - we remember our ancestors with an altar and call on them for support in difficult situations even after their death.

We say that the issues that our ancestors could not solve were given to us as a task. However, we like to believe that there is a difference between our ancestors and us. But when we realize that we all have their genes within us, activated or dormant, we see that we ourselves are our ancestors! Everything is contained within us.

At San-Hain, the veil to the ancestors is particularly thin and we feel them more than usual. During this time, we particularly focus on our ancestral issues.

Drums that are built during this time enjoy particularly strong support from our ancestors; they help build the drums with their strength, which is then available to us!

Building your medicine drum

If you decide to build your Inipi drum (medicine drum), you enter the "other world", connect with your spirit companions and your higher self and allow yourself to be guided through the process. The process begins with the decision. This process is a process of healing - the drum will absorb everything and everything that you put into it - whether consciously or unconsciously - and make it available to you as power in the subsequent healing work with the drum!

Every step has meaning, every mistake is an invitation to go deeper, every emotional challenge is a mirror of yourself. Healing takes place through the process of building alone - and the birth of the drum is then the initiation into a new version of yourself, into a path with new strength!

We accompany this process with a cleansing ceremony in the sweat lodge. The medicine wheel leads us through the cycle of life, every movement is carried out by you and you get the support you need. We bless the birthing drum again in the sweat lodge and perform a ceremony with the elements to fully lead it into this world.
