Chanunpa - the Sacred Pipe of the Lakota
Smoking the Chanunpa is a very meaningful ritual. For the Lakotas, it is one of the most important ceremonies they have. Protected and guided by Pte San Win - White Buffalo Calf Woman - the Chanunpa absorbs all prayers and when smoking the Pipe, all prayers are sent out into the world and thus the prayers are manifested.
As a "pipe carrier", as the bearer of the sacred pipe, you also have the responsibility to handle the Chanunpa carefully and mindfully and to hold the ceremony accordingly. We were introduced to the pipe and got initiated by Steven and Renata Ash. We see it as our task as "pipe carriers" to offer the Chanunpa to everyone who is looking for healing or answers.
The Chanunpa is a conscious being in its own right and works in miraculous and inexplicable ways. We cannot say what it is, but it is always special and powerful to pray with the Chanunpa!
It is precisely in this spirit that we invite you to sit with us by the fire when the weather is nice and to have a Chanunpa ceremony with us. Everyone has the opportunity to bring their prayers and wishes to life with the Chanunpa. In the circle we find like-minded friends, we sing when we feel like it, we chat, and let our Chanunpas guide us through the evening.
Anyone can participate, no previous knowledge is necessary!
Since I am not very familiar with shamanic rituals, I am always surprised at how the power of Chanunpa manages to open my heart and bring me back to myself. This beautiful ritual guides you through your emotions and back to your center with the help of loving prayers as well as questions, requests and wishes.
With a sense of gratitude, one is then aware that a change in a new direction has begun. The magic of the Chanunpa is further enhanced by this wonderful place of power and the very special people Antje and Bernhard.
Thank you both from the bottom of my heart!
